When Scripture Study Feels Stuck: Walk With Me | Come, Follow Me | Proving God

Wed Feb 04 2026

Listen

This episode didn’t come together the way I planned—and maybe that’s exactly why it needed to exist. For Season 2, I committed to slowing down: alternating guest interviews with solo reflections inspired by Come, Follow Me. But when it came time to write this episode, I hit a wall. Over and over again. What came instead wasn’t an outline—but a prompting to stop scripting and start walking. Recorded from my car, this episode is a candid reflection on faith when it feels messy, scripture study when it feels disorienting, and discipleship when it’s less about performance and more about presence. I reflect on the youth theme “Walk With Me,” its connection to Come, Follow Me, and what it really means when the Lord says “prove me herewith”—not as a demand to earn worthiness, but as an invitation to become who we already are. We explore: Why Christ invites us to walk with Him, not just obey Him What “proving” looks like in scripture, bread-making, and math Enoch’s vision alongside Moses’s and Abraham’s The difference between spiritual nourishment and “empty calories” Whether we are actively pursuing Christ—or simply staying spiritually safe This episode is imperfect, unscripted, and deeply sincere. If you’ve ever felt stuck in your faith—or wondered if honesty counts as devotion—this walk is for you. 🔗 Referenced Resources in This Episode “Walk With Me” — Youth Theme Video (2026)Produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints President Russell M.
