She helped establish the Dream Project, a nonprofit that provides scholarships and mentoring to undocumented students pursuing higher education, and served as its first full-time Executive Director. Earlier in her journey, she led Dreamers of Virginia, a youth-led movement that successfully advocated for in-state tuition and immigrant rights in Virginia.
