40. Understanding Trauma Beyond the Obvious: Blending Science, Spirituality, Body & Brain — with holistic psychologist Belu
Thu Jan 29 2026
In this raw and unfiltered episode, I sit down with holistic psychologist Belu for an unscripted conversation about trauma, healing, and what it actually takes to move beyond understanding and into real healing and lasting transformation.
This wasn’t meant to be a “proper” podcast interview. We met, saw we had a lot in common, and decided to chat. And at some point, I hit record.
What unfolded was an honest and personal conversation between two women who’ve lived trauma, walked their own healing journeys, and now support others in doing the same.
In this episode, we explore:
Trauma beyond the obvious — including what didn’t happen, but was supposed to
Why understanding alone don’t lead to healing
Why talk therapy isn't enough
How disconnected we have become from our bodies and why it's a problem
Understanding our childhood, generational patterns, and overachievement
Feminine and masculine energetics — and why so many women are exhausted
Why healing is a journey — unpredictable, nonlinear, and deeply human
⚠️ Listener note:
This episode includes discussions of childhood trauma, relational trauma, eating disorders, and emotional neglect. Please listen with care and check in with yourself around timing and capacity.
