On this episode of Talk Around Town, City Manager David Gassaway visits the construction site of Fairfield’s new Fire Station 36 with Deputy Fire Chief Rich Llewellyn. They talk about what the new Station 36 and the future Station 39 will mean for faster response times, improved wildfire coverage, and safer, more modern working conditions for Fairfield’s firefighters. They also discuss how both stations are being built efficiently and funded without pulling from day-to-day city services.
Completion is expected in late 2026, and the fire department looks forward to welcoming the community once the stations are finished.
