Wed Feb 04 2026
Today I’m sharing with you some signs of burnout as a business owner, what you can do to prevent burnout, and how to recover from burnout if you’re in it.
*Note* These are my personal opinions and are not to be taken as medical or professional advice. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or burnout, please seek the help of a licensed professional.
Burnout can happen when we experience periods of prolonged stress or when we are not experiencing joy in our daily lives.
Signs of burnout:
Anxiety
Feelings of restlessness
Overwhelm with no end in sight
Sickness
Dispondance; lack of joy
How to prevent/recover from burnout:
Remember you are not bad for suffering from burnout; you are human
Find a way to release stress physically (exercise, dancing, jumping jacks, singing, etc)
Ask for help
Remove things from your plate (you may need help doing this because everything probably feels important
Take up space; be aimless
Care for your physical body (take time to do your hair, put on clothes, eat nourishing meals, get enough sleep)
Practice Creativity (go on photo walks, take up old hobbies, start new hobbies. It’s ok if you’re not “good” at it.)
