Dr. Lily Filson ia an art historian, author, and professor, whose work explores the global Renaissance through the lenses of technology, craft knowledge, and cross-cultural exchange. She holds a PhD and has taught at American universities since 2018.
Her research spans early modern Europe and South Arabia—from Medici automata and hardstone workshops to Yemeni epigraphy, Islamic architecture, and the long history of Red Sea intercultural contact.
