Everything you’ve been taught about self-love, healing, spirituality, and personal growth has only scratched the surface of what’s truly possible. Healing doesn’t need to be a struggle. Abundance isn’t something outside of you. Personal and spiritual growth don’t require a dark night of the soul—reclaiming your whole, authentic, and highest self can be joyful and easy. Welcome to The Simple Source, a paradigm-shifting podcast and space for truth and liberation, where you’ll discover a more aligned, empowered way to grow and heal—so you can feel your best now, not later. Achieving authentic mind-body-soul health and happiness doesn’t have to be complicated or take a lifetime. I’m Linda Villines, a certified trauma-informed holistic coach, author, and spiritual guide who healed myself from chronic conditions, complex trauma, and lack—not by following traditional frameworks but by creating my own, rooted in the understanding that reality is shaped by unconditional love. I’m here to help you remember who you are, love yourself fully, and align with what has always been yours. Each week, we go beyond surface-level self-help and into the real mechanics of transformation: self-love, heali

You Don’t Have to Be Fully Healed to Be Worthy of Real Love

Fri Feb 06 2026

Listen

Love is not a reward for healing. What if the version of you that still feels messy, uncertain, and in-process is exactly the one who gets to be loved now? In this episode, I take apart the myth that you must heal fully first to be fully loved later. Connection is not the reward for healing. It’s the catalyst that completes it. We'll unpack how healing has become a socially acceptable way to avoid intimacy, how personal growth can turn into self-protection, and why waiting to feel ready often keeps people disconnected from relationships that would actually support their healing. We also explore the limits of healing in isolation and how relational wounds must be resolved through co-regulation, attuned presence, emotional honesty, and being seen as your authentic self. You'll learn why hypervigilance organizes you for protection, not intimacy, and how secure attachment bonds normalize conflict and repair rather than demand perfection. We also cover the difference between healthy relational healing and codependency, and the role shame and shadow play in the myth that you must be healed before you can be loved.  This episode is both a reframe and a permission slip to stop treating love as something you qualify for through perfection, so you can start allowing connection to bravely and intimately meet you exactly as you are, even if you’re still in process.
