Ep 86: Why Yoga Is More Than Movement with Kelly Anunson
Tue Feb 03 2026
Ep 86 | If yoga has ever felt intimidating, confusing, or like it was only meant for certain bodies, this episode offers a different perspective. We’re talking about yoga beyond the mat—what it really is, why it’s not just exercise, and how it can support real life.
Jen sits down with her longtime friend Kelly Anunson of Embrace Yoga for a grounded conversation that clears up common yoga myths and explores the mind-body connection. Together, they talk about mindful movement, nervous system support, and why yoga isn’t about flexibility or perfection—it’s about meeting yourself where you are.
This episode is for anyone who’s felt disconnected from their body, unsure where to start, or curious about yoga but hesitant to walk into a class. Whether you’re brand new, coming back after time away, or simply craving a more supportive relationship with movement, this conversation invites you in.
🕒 In this episode:
[05:14] – Why yoga is more than just exercise
[11:15] – Taking yoga off the mat and into everyday life
