Helping NICU Families: A Mom's Quest to Help NICU Families Connect
The experience of having a baby is full of surprises. Ending up needing intensive care at birth is a big challenge for families and can leave them feeling overwhelmed and looking for ways to navigate this next chapter. Paige Pedroli, author of the award-winning children's book, Welcome to the NIC-Zoo, is helping families connect and bringing comfort to NICUs around the country with her adorable children's book. Paige shares how her experience with her daughters, who both required NICU stays after birth, inspired her to write Welcome to the NIC-Zoo, and how the support and care she received from the nurses and doctors in the NICU helped her and her family navigate a difficult time and give them a head start on parenting after discharge home from the hospital.
