Emma Jeffcoat is an Australian Olympic Triathlete, but it was actually through surf lifesaving that she first found her love for endurance sport.
After making the switch in her early twenties, Emma never looked back - going on to win two World Cup events and qualify for her first Olympic Games.
While the 2021 Olympics, which included a top 10 finish, were one of the highlights of Emma’s career, they also proved some of the hardest times of her life - with the comedown from the games ultimately teaching her how to ask for help when she needed it most.
Emma shares what it’s been like to navigate the once-toxic culture of endurance sport and what she hopes to do to change that environment for the next generation of triathletes. We hope you enjoy this episode.
