They Fu*king Did It Again!

Listen

Alex Pretti and Rene Good were murdered. Plain and simple. Executed. While Dr Jodi touches on this in this episode, this episode addresses the lack of critical thinking skills exposed in millions of Americans today. We are living in dystopian times within a fascist government. Although it may be easier to have someone else to the thinking and feeling for you, the lack of ability to judge things critically, even if it goes against what you feel/believe/think, is essential for democracy and civility, It is imperative that YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN. This episode also challenges what is called the cognitive dissonance of the right and calls it what it is, pure and simple hypocrisy, Cognitive dissonance is described as a mental phenomenon in which people unknowingly or subconsciously hold fundamentally conflicting cognitions. Being confronted by situations that create this dissonance or highlight these inconsistencies motivates change in their cognitions or actions to reduce this dissonance, maybe by changing a belief, by explaining something away, or by taking actions that reduce perceived inconsistency.”"While not exactly a ‘defense mechanism’ itself, a person adopts a defensive mechanism/mechanisms to deal with the discomfort of the dissonance." The right is not uncomfortable with this hypocrisy. The right is uncomfortable when their fundamentally different beliefs conflict with reality, because to them, reality is wrong, not their beliefs. They don't use cognitive dissonance to change their cognitions or actions; they have no intention of changing their beliefs or actions, They fully believe their way is the correct way even if they know it is wrong, And lastly, Dr. Jodi asks how do Christian beliefs align with wishing harm to and celebrating harm to others? #DHS #trump #trumpadministration #trumpsupporters #minnesota #minneapolis #immigrants #migrants #ice #execution #murder #protests #cognitivedissonance #hypocrisy #criticalthinking #Christianvalues #Christian #Christianity
