6 Best Rephonic Alternatives in 2026

Rephonic does two jobs well: it estimates who listens to a podcast, and since early 2026 it sends campaigns from your inbox. The gaps sit between those two jobs. Light and Standard cap searches at 100 and 500 a month, every pitch is a template you fill in, and the database stops at podcasts.

Below are the tools that cover those gaps in different ways, from a $99 outreach tool to a done-for-you agency, with prices checked on October 21, 2026.

By the PodPitch team. Updated .

PodPitch holds the highest G2 rating of any tool on this page (5.0 of 5), so it is listed first. Every other tool was checked against its own pricing page and public reviews, and where another tool is the better fit for a specific job, we say so. How we picked.

Why people look for Rephonic alternatives

Search quotas on the two cheaper plans

Light allows 100 searches a month and Standard 500, shared across the team, and search stops at the cap until your billing date. Vidpros's review says 100 searches is too few for serious outreach. Unlimited search starts at the $299 Business plan.

You still write every pitch

Rephonic's campaigns run on templates and merge variables, and its Pitch Wizard is a step-by-step flow for setting up a campaign. We found no AI pitch writing on its product pages, so the pitch itself is still yours to write.

Podcasts only, and the audience numbers are estimates

There are no journalists or newsletter writers, so a book launch or a company story needs a second tool for press. The listener figures are modelled: when The Podcast Host checked them against real downloads for 14 shows, the average accuracy was 51.6%, and Rephonic's founder says they are weaker for non-English shows and shows under about 1,000 listeners an episode.

1. PodPitch

Best for
Founders, authors and agencies who want the pitches written and sent, not only the list
Pricing
Quoted on a free demo call. Plans are billed every 3, 6 or 12 months (longer terms cost less) and include unlimited users. There is no free plan.
Coverage
4 million podcasts, 3 million journalists and Substack writers, drawn from 1.1 billion email addresses that refresh daily. See the database.

Rephonic hands you a list and a sending tool; the writing stays with you. PodPitch writes the pitch. You describe yourself or a client, it searches 4 million podcasts and scores each one for fit, then drafts an email for every show that mentions its recent episodes and follows your own writing samples. Pitches go out from your Gmail or Outlook, up to two follow-ups go out on their own, anyone who replies drops out of the sequence, and replies land sorted in Magic Inbox.

The second difference is who you can reach. Rephonic is podcasts only. PodPitch adds 3 million journalists and a Substack newsletter database it built in house, so a founder with a story or an author with a launch pitches podcasts, press and newsletters from the same tool.

The gaps are concrete. PodPitch shows an estimated monthly listener count for each show. There is no monthly plan and no public price: plans are billed every 3, 6 or 12 months and quoted on a free demo call, where a rep runs a live search for your topic. When writing and sending the pitches is the part you want off your plate, PodPitch is the tool that does it.

Where PodPitch beats Rephonic

  • Writes each pitch from the show's recent episodes and your writing samples. Rephonic's campaigns use templates and merge variables.
  • Covers 3 million journalists and Substack newsletter writers as well as 4 million podcasts. Rephonic is podcasts only.
  • Unlimited users and client profiles on every plan. Rephonic caps seats at 1, 5 or 10 by plan.
  • Monitors keyword mentions across podcast transcripts, news articles and newsletters. Rephonic's alerts cover podcast transcripts only.

What you get

Follows up, then stops

Up to two follow-ups per contact. Anyone who replies drops out of the sequence automatically.

One inbox for replies

Replies from hosts and writers land in Magic Inbox, sorted, so you answer everyone from one place.

Cindy A., Founder, verified G2 review (Oct 2026)
“The outreach is meaningful since it references actual episodes from each podcast it pitches to. We have literally gotten more responses and booked podcasts than we can keep up with.”
Todd K., Marketing Coordinator, verified G2 review (Oct 2026)
“We've booked so many more podcasts than I was ever able to secure on my own. This is the best tool I've invested in, including Cision and MuckRack!”
R.B., PR agency owner
“The database is insane. The fact that, when it writes your email, it mentions past episodes is a huge HUGE timesaver for us.”
Sarah Spiegel, Founder, Sarah PR

Pitch, booking and team counts come from PodPitch's own send records, counted on October 21, 2026 (MagicPitch LinkedIn campaigns excluded). G2 figures are from PodPitch's G2 page on the same date, where G2 displays a 5.0 rating from 8 reviews: the highest G2 rating of any PR or podcast outreach tool compared on this site.

What you gain by switching

  • Every pitch written for you, tied to the show's recent episodes and your writing samples.
  • Journalists and Substack writers in the same tool as podcasts.
  • Unlimited users and client profiles, so a growing agency never moves up a seat tier.
  • Booked Media reports with an estimated earned media value for each booking, exported to CSV.

What you give up

  • Listener demographics. PodPitch shows estimated monthly listeners for each show; teams that buy media against detailed audience profiles can add that data elsewhere.
  • Public pricing and a monthly plan. PodPitch is quoted on a demo call and billed every 3, 6 or 12 months; Rephonic is $99 to $299 a month with the prices on its site.
  • A free trial. Rephonic gives 7 days with a card on file; PodPitch runs a live search on the demo instead.
  • Hands-off search. Long-running campaigns drift into less relevant categories without review, so check pitches before automatic sending goes on.
  • A quick setup. Setting up your profile and writing samples takes a bit of time up front; the payoff is pitches that sound like you wrote them.

How to switch from Rephonic

  1. 1Export your Rephonic campaigns to CSV (its help center documents campaign export) so you keep the shows in each campaign with their contact emails and podcast data.
  2. 2Check your billing date. Rephonic has no fixed term and stays active to the end of the period after you cancel, so overlapping the two tools for a few weeks costs nothing extra.
  3. 3Book a PodPitch demo with a real client or your own topic. The rep runs a live search, so you can compare the results and draft pitches with your Rephonic list before paying.
  4. 4Connect your Gmail or Outlook, add writing samples, and read the first batch of pitches against your Rephonic export before turning on automatic sending, so no host hears from you twice.

How we picked these alternatives

We read Rephonic's pricing page on October 21, 2026 with both the monthly and yearly toggles, plus its product, developer and help center pages, its blog updates, its G2, Product Hunt and Trustpilot reviews, The Podcast Host's test of its listener estimates and the Vidpros review. For each alternative we did the same on the same day: the vendor's pricing page first, then G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, Clutch and AppSumo reviews, and Reddit threads where readable. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so and name the third-party source for the figure we give.

For this buyer, someone who finds podcasts to guest on and pitches them, or does that for clients, we weighted whether the tool writes and sends the pitch or stops at the list, how much of the podcast world it covers and whether it reaches journalists and newsletters too, the real cost at the seat count a small agency needs, and what reviewers say about contact and listener data accuracy.

PodPitch is our product, so it is listed first; it also holds the higher G2 rating (5.0 against Rephonic's 4.9). Its numbers come from our own send records and our G2 page, both counted on October 21, 2026. The list includes tools that beat PodPitch on price or audience data, and we say which.

2. Podseeker

Visit site
Best for
PR teams and bookers who want a cheaper, outreach-first Rephonic
Pricing
One plan at $99 a month for 3 seats, billed monthly with no annual price shown. It includes 200 client recommendations, 400 personalized pitches, 400 contact enrichments, 100 concierge lookups and 5,000 CSV exports a month. The 3-day trial needs a card and excludes exports. Campaigns send at most 100 emails a day.

Podseeker is the closest match to Rephonic's workflow and the cheaper of the two for a team of 2 or 3. You build a client profile, it returns up to 200 ranked recommendations a month with a Client Fit score, drafts the pitch (optional AI), and sends from Gmail or Outlook with follow-ups that stop on reply. One $99 plan covers 3 seats, where Rephonic's $99 Light plan covers 1. It publishes no podcast count, and its audience data stops at listener estimates plus listener gender and location.

Strengths

  • Pitch drafts with a Pitch Score; nothing sends until you approve it.
  • Unlimited follow-ups that stop on reply, double-pitch avoidance and shared media lists.
  • G2 4.7 from 14 reviews; reviewers praise fast match-finding and concierge lookups that find a usable email most of the time.

Weaknesses

  • No published podcast total; third-party listings range from about 685,000 to over two million shows, and AppSumo buyers called search "hit or miss".
  • Podseeker says not every contact is verified; a Reddit user in r/PodcastGuestExchange advises checking emails before sending.
  • No annual price shown, a 100-emails-a-day cap, and demographics limited to listener gender and location.
  • About 14 G2 reviews and none on Capterra, so a thin review base.

Choose Podseeker if you want Rephonic's research-then-send workflow with drafted pitches for $99 a month and can live with lighter audience data.

3. Podchaser Pro

Visit site
Best for
Agencies and media buyers who want the biggest podcast database and will pitch from another tool
Pricing
Quote only. Podchaser's own pricing explainer says most engagements start around $5,000 a year for independent consultants, with volume discounts for agencies. Pro is sold on annual, seat-based terms. The separate Podchaser API is published at $30 a month (Starter) or $300 a month (Professional).

Podchaser Pro is the research-heavy pick. Owned by Acast since 2022, it covers 6.2 million podcasts with more than 2 million validated contacts sorted by role, first-party reach data on 250,000+ shows, a Power Score, sponsor history and transcript alerts. It stops at research: no sending, no sequences, no reply tracking, and at about $5,000 a year it costs more than Rephonic's $2,990 Business year. If it is your current tool, see Podchaser alternatives.

Strengths

  • G2 4.7 from 73 reviews; praised for the database, the interface and support.
  • The biggest index here: 6.2 million podcasts and 2.19 million role-specific contacts with CSV, XLSX and PDF export.
  • "Tell Me Why" AI fit score and pitch suggestions, plus sponsor history and ad rate cards for media buyers.
  • Transcript alerts across about 150,000 English podcasts, backfilled to 2021.

Weaknesses

  • No public price; an r/podcasting user was frustrated at needing a demo to learn the cost, and G2 tags it "Expensive".
  • G2 reviewers call contact data "messy or inaccurate at times" and "B+" for accuracy.
  • No outreach: you export contacts and pitch, follow up and track replies elsewhere.
  • Annual, seat-based contracts; cancellation terms are not public.

Choose Podchaser Pro if you are an agency or media buyer who needs the deepest podcast data and already has a tool to send from.

4. Listen Notes

Visit site
Best for
Researchers and developers who want cheap search over 3.7M podcasts and will pitch by hand
Pricing
Website search is free. Premium is billed by the day: $26 for two days as a one-time payment, up to two logins per pass. A monthly option exists, but the pricing page is login-walled, so we could not confirm the monthly total. The Listen API has a free tier and a PRO tier at $200 a month for 5,000 requests.

Listen Notes is a podcast search engine with an index of over 3.7 million podcasts and 190 million episodes. Search is free; Premium adds Super Search filters and Listen Alerts from $26 for two days. You get a show's RSS email and a relative Listen Score, with no listener estimates, demographics, sequences or shared inbox. It is the cheapest way to build a list before pitching by hand, and the furthest from Rephonic's booking workflow.

Strengths

  • Over 3.7 million podcasts and 190 million episodes, searchable for free.
  • Cheap short-term access: $26 for two days of Premium, no contract, expires on its own.
  • Listen Alerts by email, RSS, Zapier or IFTTT, and an API with 11 official SDKs.

Weaknesses

  • Contacts are thin: Reletter says it returns the show's generic RSS email with no verified host or producer details.
  • No listener estimates, demographics, sending, follow-ups or reply tracking.
  • An older Reddit thread in r/podcasts says Premium mostly moved formerly free filters behind a paywall.
  • Its G2 listing has 0 reviews, so there is no review base to check.

Choose Listen Notes if you want the cheapest possible podcast search and will find contacts and write every pitch yourself.

5. PodMatch

Visit site
Best for
Solo guests, coaches and authors who want interviews on indie shows without cold email
Pricing
Guest Standard $32 a month, Guest Professional $64, Host Standard $6, Host Professional $64, Guest+Host $38 or $64, and Agency $64 a month for 2 clients plus $32 per extra client. Monthly only: no annual plan, no free plan, no free trial. Refunds within the first 21 days are by email and at staff discretion.

PodMatch is a paid marketplace where hosts and guests both build profiles, get matched, and then message, schedule and sign release forms inside the platform. Only members are searchable, so you reach indie shows that opted in rather than Rephonic's four million, and PodMatch itself says it is not for people chasing Joe Rogan-sized shows. For a solo guest who dislikes cold email, it is cheap and has the largest review base on this page. If you are already a member, see PodMatch alternatives.

Strengths

  • G2 4.9 from 107 reviews and Trustpilot 4.9 from 245.
  • Scheduling, messaging, release forms and match notes in one place, so there is less back-and-forth.
  • Low entry price for guests, and no cold email to write.

Weaknesses

  • Member-only pool of mostly indie shows, with no host email addresses exposed.
  • G2 reviewers mention copy-and-paste AI-style pitches from other members and slow host replies.
  • PodMatch's own complaint list: no trial, email-only support, message throttling, and some hosts charging guests $30 to $150.
  • Guests pay $32 to $64 a month before landing anything, and a thin profile gets poor matches.

Choose PodMatch if you are an individual guest on a budget and indie shows are exactly what you want.

6. Interview Valet

Visit site
Best for
Executives and authors with budget who want a team to book everything
Pricing
Quote-based. The vendor FAQ says campaigns start at $1,500 a month with a 6-month commitment, so at least $9,000 over the minimum term. Clutch reviewers put projects at $5,000 to $15,000. Hosts are never charged.

Interview Valet is a booking agency, not software. A Client Success Strategist builds your one-sheet in week one, picks shows from the top 20% by downloads, makes personal introductions to hosts, handles scheduling and prep, and promotes each episode afterwards. You never see a contact list. It replaces Rephonic by replacing the work, at about five times the price of Rephonic's Business plan.

Strengths

  • Trustpilot 4.8 from 57 reviews and Clutch 4.9 from 11; the Clutch summary says clients often got more interviews than promised.
  • Fully hands-off: onboarding, one-sheet, curated show list and dashboard in week one, then a monthly optimization call.
  • Targets shows in the top 20% by downloads, and includes prep, guest training and post-interview promotion.

Weaknesses

  • At least $9,000 over the 6-month minimum; it does not take shorter engagements.
  • Slow payoff: the vendor says results come over months 3 to 6.
  • Less control over which shows are pitched, and no contact list or data to keep when you leave.
  • Reviews skew positive and some Trustpilot reviews are invited, so there is little critical signal.

Choose Interview Valet if your time is worth more than the retainer and you would rather approve shows than find them.

Rephonic alternatives: common questions

How much does Rephonic cost?

Rephonic has three plans: Light at $99 a month ($990 a year) with 1 user and 100 searches a month, Standard at $149 ($1,490 a year) with 5 users and 500 searches, and Business at $299 ($2,990 a year) with 10 users and unlimited searches. Yearly billing works out to two months free, and the API is a separate $299 a month. There is no free plan; the 7-day trial needs a card and is charged after day 7.

Is Rephonic free?

No. Rephonic has no free plan. Its 7-day free trial needs a credit card and is charged after day 7, and exports and the concierge contact service are off during the trial. For free podcast search, Listen Notes is free to use, and PodcastGuests.com sends a free twice-weekly newsletter of shows looking for guests.

Is Rephonic worth it?

For a small team weighing $99 to $299 a month against doing the work by hand, weigh three things first: the listener numbers are modelled estimates that an independent test found about 50% accurate on average, searches are capped at 100 or 500 a month unless you pay $299, and the pitches are templates you write yourself.

What is the best free Rephonic alternative?

No free tool does what Rephonic does. For free search, Listen Notes indexes over 3.7 million podcasts and shows the RSS contact email for most of them. For free opportunities, PodcastGuests.com emails its free tier 20 podcasts seeking guests each week. For free mention tracking, Podscan gives verified brands Premium-level alerts at no charge. None of them writes or sends a pitch.

How accurate are Rephonic's listener estimates?

They are modelled, and Rephonic itself calls them a best guess. The Podcast Host compared them with real download figures for 14 shows and found an average accuracy of 51.6% (median 50.85%), calling them too rough for ad pricing. Rephonic's founder says the model is weaker for non-English shows and for shows under about 1,000 listeners an episode.

How much does PodPitch cost compared with Rephonic?

PodPitch does not publish prices; they are quoted on a free demo call. Plans are billed every 3, 6 or 12 months, longer terms cost less, and every plan includes unlimited users and client profiles. There is no free plan or trial. For the pitches themselves written, sent and followed up for you, PodPitch is the pick; to send templates yourself, Rephonic or Podseeker is the cheaper route.

Does Rephonic write pitches for you?

Not that we could find. Rephonic's campaigns use templates with merge variables, and its Pitch Wizard is a step-by-step flow for building a campaign. PodPitch writes each pitch from the show's recent episodes and your writing samples; Podseeker drafts pitches with optional AI for you to review before anything sends.

Which Rephonic alternative is best for a PR agency with several clients?

PodPitch, if your clients need press and newsletters as well as podcasts: every plan has unlimited users and client profiles, and the database covers journalists and Substack writers. Podseeker, if budget comes first: $99 a month includes 3 seats, client profiles and sending. Podchaser Pro, if your clients buy podcast ads and reach data matters more than outreach.
